Gallery Closed Temporarily – Looking for Artists & Authors for 2024

The Gallery is closed over the Christmas and New Year’s holidays as we spend time with family and friends, and refreshing ourselves for the busy year we anticipate in 2024!

In January, Eastwards will re-open (with slightly limited hours) as Adrian begins rearranging the art displays, saying farewell to a few artists, and, hopefully, welcoming new.  If you are an artist, or know one, please stop by the Gallery or call to set up a time to bring in some of your works, to discuss the consignment terms and potentially displaying.

For now, the Gallery will be open (starting January 8th) Mon, Weds & Fri from 11a – 5p, and Sat from 10a – 4p.  Adrian can make appointments to be open on Sundays, Tues & Thurs.

In 2024, the Gallery will also be opening its Book Nook area – and we will be seeking authors who want to consign copies of their original books of art, poetry, fiction and non-fiction.  We already have a few titles on sale, so if you are a reader, stop by and check it out!!

2024 Calendars Available With Dakota Winds Photos

Kendra Perry Koski, of Dakota Winds Photography, has had her amazing, and startlingly bright photos on display all summer at the Gallery.  While she’s taken those piece off to Festivals and Art Shows around the state this month (and maybe the Christmas In the Village Craft Fair in Oacoma on Dec 2nd,) she did give us a few of her amazing South Dakota Calendars to sell. Or, go to https://www.etsy.com/listing/1590829395/2024-south-dakota-calendar to buy them directly!

This is an ideal gift, or just a great accent and way to mark the coming year, with Kendra’s gorgeous images from all over South Dakota.  Stop by to see the calendars, and all the art on-display, at Eastwards.

Check Out More from Aerial 605’s Ezra Moore

Ezra Moore has some of his prints and postcards at Eastwards, but he also has a store on Shopify under his business, Aerial 605.

Check out the new “South Dakota” coffee mugs Ezra now has available, featuring his photos from around the area. If you are looking for a gift for someone who loves our beautiful state this may be the thing for you. https://aerial605llc.myshopify.com/collections/coffee-mugs

If you want to see Ezra’s work in person, or some of the other local artists, stop by the Gallery!  We have prints and postcards.

For the Photography Nerds & Geeks – Black & White!!

For the Photography buffs who think black-and-white photos are all that, well, our curator, Adrian, has been getting into the monochromatic with his Mediterranean pics. It’s time to come by the Gallery to talk composition, clutter and all things non-color.

If you are just hungry for glimpses of foreign shores, he’s also got a gorgeous shot of the Stromboli volcano in the Tyrrhenian Sea, plus his other ‘Scenes from the Sidewalk’ and ‘Bridges’ collection.

Stop by the Gallery to see the pictures, or call/e-mail to find out when Adrian will be in, to discuss F-stops and camera speeds…
